It’s Time To Get The Right People On The Bus.

Start with who's driving, who's navigating and who's in back willing to step in as need to help get to where you want to go.

Acting as an advisor, a leadership coach or a mentor to you and your team doesn’t mean Spitulnik Advisors is only going to be talking about you. There are other people who need to line up with your mission as a leader and be the right ones in the right places “on the bus” to impact your success.

David Spitulnik has seen the benefits and the impacts of engaging people to help in each of these roles throughout his career and is now sharing the lessons he has learned on his journey. People often use the terms Advisor, Coach and Mentor to mean the same thing, but let's take a look at the difference and how you can use them to make progress on your journey.


Your Advisor

So let’s think about your individual Board for a moment. This may be your own Board of advisors or the group you work with at your company.

Who are your advisors on that Board? Who are the people you go to when you have a question to ask?

At least one of those people has to give you “Have you thought about…” questions that might be a little uncomfortable, yet must be asked. That same person may give you answers, but not the kind you want to hear.

Even in that place of discomfort, Spitulnik Advisors will be looking out for your best interests like no other partner you might have had.

When you ask us, “What do you think about that,” we’ll give it to you straight. Every time. We will also ask a lot of questions in return. But we’ll also take the next step in helping you determine your path forward to accompany that next thought.

For example, let’s say your processes are broken, whether that’s a faulty manufacturing process or no specific accounting process at all. Not only can we provide a preliminary assessment and diagnosis of the problem, but we can then draw from an extensive partner network to help you with being far more efficient in that process.

Spitulnik Advisors can play a key role in helping you understand how to formulate a strategic plan and execute upon it so you can add not only the right people on the bus but the right experiences to accompany those people. We’ll be the Hub of the leadership team that helps you manage these resources, align them with your mission and remove the chaos you’ve been afraid of, exchanging it for more clarity.
 

Your Coach

But let’s say that the specific issue relates only to you or to one of your team members or even to a few members or the whole team.  And that the issue is something that must start to be addressed immediately and then, with a solution identified, worked at over time to ensure that the solution is actually being implemented.

Who are you going to call on to help guide the folks who need help through the process of addressing the specific issue now and into the future?

Your Mentor

And then there is the reality that you or some members of the team may just want or need someone who has been through the battle before to speak with and bounce ideas off.  While there may be some elements of the advisory role or of the coaching role, there is also an interest in learning about how someone else addressed the issues that the team members are addressing now.

While there may be many definitions, Spitulnik Advisors can also provide a level of mentoring or a hybrid between being the advisor and being the coach.  With his broad experience gained over many years and many industries, David Spitulnik can answer questions about why a path is suggested or not and provide feedback on the alternatives one faces.
